I came I saw I drank (ABN 16867282250) (“our”, “us”, “we”) offer bespoke tours for small groups of boutique wineries and produce providers in the Geelong, Bellarine Peninsula and Moorabool regions (“the Region”). These terms and conditions govern the provision of our services to you. These terms may change from time to time so we invite you to revisit this page if you are booking with us again.
Our services are available for individuals, and groups, limited to a maximum of six people. We are a service provider for the purposes of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (“the Consumer Law”) and our drivers hold the appropriate Taxi Services Commission accreditation.
Planning your Tour
We generally conduct tours between the hours of 10.00am and 5.00pm seven days a week, however tour times can be flexible to the extent that we can accommodate individual requests. Our tours are generally four hours in length and will include driving you and your group to three wineries and one food producer. You may tailor your own tour by selecting your preferred venues from our list of affiliates, or we can plan your tour for you.
What you can expect
On the day of your tour, we will pick you up from your chosen address within the Region. You will be chauffer driven in a private vehicle, to your destinations. The time spent at each venue will vary between tours, however you should expect to spend up to one hour at wineries for tastings, and 30 minutes at the food producer venue.
We can assist you with making a lunch booking at one of the venues or an alternate restaurant option. Note that such bookings must be arranged prior to the day of your tour and that any lunch costs are not included in the price of the tour. After the last venue, we will drive you to your nominated return address or mutually agreed destination which can be one of the venues you visited on your tour.
We do not hold a liquor licence and accordingly the consumption of alcohol is prohibited in the vehicle. Smoking is also prohibited. Food, beverages (other than wine tastings) and produce are available for purchase at the venues we visit and are not included in the price of our tour. Our Tours are focused on taking you to your venues of choice, we are not a historical tour guide service, although various local knowledge regarding food and wine in the Region will be shared by our drivers.
Drunken and offensive behaviour will not be tolerated on the Tour and we reserve the right to refuse to allow any person to continue the Tour if there is a breach of this term. We expect our patrons to treat the vehicle with respect, and require cleanliness of the vehicle to be maintained at all times. Additional fees may be charged to cover the cost of any damage or extra cleaning of the vehicle that is required because of the conduct of passengers.
Venues operate under their own terms, including with respect to conduct on their premises and the responsible service of alcohol. We are not responsible for the decision of a venue that may refuse entry or ask a patron to leave.
Payment and Pricing
Your Tour payment must be made by way of direct deposit into our bank account, upon receipt of which your booking will be confirmed. We require credit card details which will be held only as security in case any additional charges are incurred during your Tour, such as the damage or additional cleaning fee.
We do not receive any payments from the venues on our tours.
Variations and Cancellations
We can facilitate limited changes to the tour on the day, such as a change in the return address (if you want to stay at venue for example) or if you choose to stay at a venue and forego the remainder of the tour.
We reserve the right to vary your Tour if there is reasonable cause for us to do so. This will not give rise to any refund rights. If we need to cancel your Tour completely we will offer you a new date to reschedule, or will refund your payment in full.
If you cancel your tour within 14 days of the tour date, your payment will not be refunded. If you cancel prior to 14 days before the tour date we will refund 50% of your payment.
Warranties and Disclaimer
Our tours operate regardless of the weather conditions and we recommend that you consider the venue in light of the climate. While we are open to your feedback about the venues we visit on your tour, we do not provide any guarantees or warranties regarding your level of satisfaction with them. Similarly, any recommendations made by us are based upon on our personal opinion only. We work with you to create a travel experience, however ultimately the final approval of the Itinerary indicates your acceptance of our suggestions.
Our services are provided by us in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law as it applies. The following exclusions and limitations apply to the extent permitted by law. Except for the express representations and warranties stated in this agreement and those contained in the Australian Consumer Law, we make no warranties whatsoever, and explicitly disclaim any other warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
The timeframes for collection and drop off which we provide are estimates only and are not guaranteed. We are committed to attending to you on time however, sometimes delays occur due to factors outside of our control such as traffic and weather. Our tours can also be impacted by the venues we visit, which are outside of our control.
Your privacy is important to I came I saw I drank. All information provided to I came I saw I drank is treated as confidential. Any details you submit to us from this website or by sending your details to us via our forms, will not be passed to any third party and will be used only for the purpose for which you provided them.
The rights and obligations of the Parties in these terms are governed by the Law of Victoria, Australia.
Any provision of this Agreement which is prohibited or unenforceable will be effective to the extent of such prohibition or unenforceability without invalidating the remaining provisions of the Agreement.
